Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

True Joy only comes from the Lord, and I want my husband to have this joy!

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

There have been and will be again so many reasons to have a broken spirit in this life, but when our men can learn to rest in the Lord he can have a merry heart, which will bring peace and life into your home.

22-But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23- Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22,23

Let us pray for our husbands to rest in The Father 
and find true joy and peace in the stress of life!

[day 12] PFYH: to stand for truth

23-O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. 24- Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:23,24

I want my husband to be a man that is faithful and stands for TRUTH.

13-Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14- Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, Ephesians 6:13-14

The armour of God…. includes the “belt of truth” -as some call it. We should pray for our men to put on the armour of God each day in order to stand truth.

Let us pray for our husbands to love truth,
stand for truth and protect our family from attacks of the devil.

While we are not to live our lives to please man, it is possible for a righteous man to have favour with both God & man. This is something I desire for my own husband.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Luke 2:52

And Jesus is our supreme example!

For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12

1-My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2- For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3- Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4- So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:1-4

Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard. Proverbs 13:15

This delicate balance is only achieved in the life of our man when he heeds and obeys the Word… when he binds mercy to his heart and ties truth into his heart!

Let us pray for our husbands to seek mercy and truth
and gain the balance of favour with God and man!

31-Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32- (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34- Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:31-34

15-See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16- Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17- Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5: 15-17

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12

An unforgiving spirit creates a seed that births a root of bitterness in our lives. This is not something I wish for my husband to need to deal with, especially towards me!

31-Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31,32

14-Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 15- Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled… Hebrews 12:14,15

[day 16] PFYH: choose friends wisely

1-Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2- But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3- And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4-The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5- Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6- For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17

Let us pray for our husbands to choose their friends and influences wisely!

[day 17] PFYH: to choose healthy, God-honoring activities

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 1 Corinthians 6:12

I desire the activities that my whole family participates in to be Christ-honoring! I pray for the discretion to know what these are. We must also be aware of being involved in spiritually & physically healthy pursuits!

1-Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2-And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3- Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4- No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 5- And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. 2 Timothy 2: 1-5

If my man has interests that do not involve me but are God-honoring, such as a Men’s Prayer night or even just spending time with or as a Godly mentor, I should not stand in the way of these things!

Let us pray for our husbands to have wisdom in choosing activities for himself and our family!

[day 18] PFYH: to surrender his time & talents {to the Lord}

All these prayers… I know we each desire for our husbands to become all the Lord has for them! This can only happen for any one when they have surrendered all things to the Lord.

15-See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16-Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

4-Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5- And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6-And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7- But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Let us pray for our husbands to surrender the talents the Lord has given them as well as their time to God’s control.
