I failed.
I fall short every day.
but this day I completely blew it!
as a wife. as a friend. as a child of God.

For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether Psalm 139:4
A circumstance pushed me beyond ‘that point’ [as a Christian, I should not have a point!] and I crashed. Instead of asking for a moment and stepping back from the situation, I lost it.

Have you ever lost it?
My tongue was WHET: sharpened as a blade.

and that is SO wrong.

It is not ever necessary for me to loose it. ever. with anyone.
{shame}
So what do I do now?
Pray. Give that control back to God [again]
and repent for snatching it from His grasp [again].
Ask forgiveness from the one who received my lashing. The situation was not his fault. and no one deserves to be beaten by another’s tongue. and most especially not by someone who is supposed to love you above all others.
Teach me, and I will hold my tongue:
and cause me to understand wherein I have erred. Job 6:24

Keep thy tongue from evil Psalm 34:13
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a swordPr 12:18
I must pray for this in my life. every day.
… but the tongue of the wise is health.
 Proverbs 12:18 [a wise tongue]

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue
keepeth his soul from troubles.
Proverbs 21:23 [a bridled tongue]

She openeth her mouth with wisdom;
and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Proverbs 31:26 [a kind tongue]
And then, allowing God that control, the result can be:
Then was our mouth filled with laughter,
and our tongue with singing:
then said they among the heathen,
The LORD hath done great things for them.
 Psalm 126:2
My tongue shall speak of thy word
for all thy commandments are righteousness.
Psalm 119:172
My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long:
for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame,
that seek my hurt. Psalm 71:24
I did repent. God never fails to forgive.
I am humbled.
God is Good beyond measure.
I apologized to the one I wronged. He forgave also.
and I am humbled again.
I am still working through those prayers… most especially for a bridled tongue.
God’s strength is made perfect in weakness!

And he said unto me,
My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength
is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather
glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ
may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
